MiniPOS: tamper-proof journal
The till journal survives even a deleted database, a changed clock is detected, six payment types and tables for hospitality.
MiniPOS, the fiscal till for Windows computers, has received a series of improvements that make the till journal more robust. The journal now survives even if the database is deleted, because a copy is also kept in a file. A clock changed while the till was closed is detected. There are six payment types and a Gastronomy profile with tables. The changes are for shops, cafés and restaurants that use MiniPOS.
Every coupon is written to the journal together with its full content, and a copy is kept in a file. If the computer’s clock is changed while the till is closed, MiniPOS detects it through the Windows system log. Even a stopped till still gives its journal. If the unit has the Gastronomy profile, the till works with tables. Long coupons print on one roll, and failing sends are reported with their reason.
The till journal is what the ATK inspector looks at during an inspection. If it is lost because of a fault, or the clock is changed, the business is left without proof of its own sales. With the copy in a file, the unique tax-block code and clock detection, those risks go down. Seeing the reason for a failed send saves you time when something goes wrong.
If you run a shop, café or restaurant and want to see MiniPOS at work, ask us for a demo. We will show you a sale, the payment types, the tables and how the journal is read. If you already use MiniPOS and have questions about these changes, write to us and we will answer.
